Financial Policies
The MCMA maintains the following policies which are noted at the bottom of every registration confirmation form.
Registrations will not be finalized until payment is received. Complete fees for the academic year must be paid in advance in full or with post-dated cheques (PDC), pre-authorized credit card (PACC), or pre-authorized debit withdrawal (PAD) on the first of each month. Overdue installments, installments that are declined and installments returned as "NSF" will be subject to a $25.00 fee. It is solely the student's responsibility to ensure that installments are made. Please notify the Conservatory if there are changes to your plan.

Absenteeism: No refunds will be issued for classes missed by the student. You are reserving a specific class time with a faculty member that is held for your convenience each week. Classes are paid for even if you are absent unless there are specially approved extenuating circumstances. In the case of a prolonged medical absence, with a Doctor's note, you may withdraw from the schedule. Out of courtesy to the Faculty, we ask that you notify the Administration by e-mail or telephone if you are going to be absent.

Withdrawal Policy: Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. Four weeks written notice must be provided for withdrawal from individual classes. Tuition is payable for the duration of the four-week period whether the student attends the classes or not. A form is available from Student Services for the student or parents to fill out as notice of withdrawal.
_______________________________________________
Two week Trial: If a new student is assigned by the MCMA to a Faculty member for individual classes, the student has the right to ask to be transferred to a different Faculty member within the first two weeks of classes with that Faculty member, or withdraw from classes without having to comply with the four week withdrawal notice period. This right can be exercised only once per registered individual class in any Academic Year.
_______________________________________________
Refunds: Our registration deadline for Group Classes is one week prior to class starting date. Refunds will only be issued if a student withdraws prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are non-refundable.
_______________________________________________
Photographs and Audio Recordings: Students may be photographed and/or recorded in individual classes, group classes and performances while on Conservatory premises and at Conservatory-related functions, for archival and promotional purposes.
