The Golden Ages of the Chamber Orchestra
Co-Presented by Creative Retirement Manitoba, the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts, and the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra
Enrich your enjoyment of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra's concerts with this engaging and entertaining course! The small orchestra has enjoyted two golden ages: the eigtheenth and twentieth/twenty-first centuries. This course explores many of the most significant chamber orchestra works from both periods, with special emphasis on music that the MCO will be performing during the 2010/2011 season. Members of the orchestra and composer Sid Robinovitch will visit the class to offer unique insights into the music (subject to availability).
