Music Theory
The Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts offers a full complement of theory courses to enable students to complete their musical education. Our teachers are able to teach both Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and Conservatory Canada curricula. * Students studying at the Grade V level or higher (instrumental or vocal) should be enrolled in theory. To increase students' comfort level with the exam process, preparation includes mock exams according to either Conservatory Canada or RCM format.
Individual instruction is also available in virtually all theoretical subjects, including rudiments, harmony, history, counterpoint, analysis, solfege and pedagogy. Class instruction for subjects not already offered may also be available by special arrangement. For more information regarding individual instruction, or any of the programs the Conservatory has to offer, please contact us.
