About the Conservatory
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts is to foster artistic excellence and build community, by providing Manitobans with high quality, accessible music learning opportunities.
OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
Established in 1984, the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts is an independent, non-profit school of music. The Conservatory offers quality instruction to students of all ages, from beginner levels to advanced levels.
The Conservatory has made a significant impact on the cultural and educational community of Manitoba by developing and enriching the quality and appreciation of music and related arts. The Manitoba Conservatory provides a unique opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to be part of a professional musical environment second to none.
The Conservatory's administrative offices and studios are located in downtown Winnipeg, with additional branches in Steinbach, Altona, and Morris. With over 2,200 registrations and over 80 faculty members, the Conservatory has become a prominent member of the arts community. Our Faculty is carefully selected for their teaching experience and performing skills. Many are active as adjudicators and examiners.
At the Conservatory, we offer our students the opportunity to learn and develop skills with the guidance of highly-qualified instructors. Our primary goal is the musical and artistic development of our students.

Starting Monday, 22 June, 2009, for the summer months, the Conservatory is open Monday to Friday: 9:00am–5:00pm.
During the academic school year, the Conservatory is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00am - 9:00pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00am - 5:00pm (closed Sunday), allowing for convenient lesson scheduling.
